I ran from the person that was me
and the you at her side.
They were strangers to my reality,
an impossibility.
That you could ever hold me close
just as you hold her, like she is your reason for breathing.
That you could ever grasp my hand
as tightly as hold hers, like it's a lifeline in times of struggle.
That you could ever look at me with those eyes
eyes that told her she was the center of your world.

of emotions is the true cause
of misunderstanding?
What if we examine
the previously aphoristic idea
that all people feel emotions similarly?
What if your definition of anger
complies with my description
of frustration
or my benevolence
suits your conception
of infatuation?
How do we know
that your love and mine
are one and the same?
What if, in reality,
they are two different notions
that we wrongly believed to be alike?
Would the emotions we experience
still be the emotions we fel

Losing grip on reality,
my hand in yours - it's slipping.
Somebody save me,
from falling quickly,
tumbling down a rabbit hole.
Maybe, somehow, I'll make my way to Wonderland
Where a man and a mouse duke it out
over a simple spot of tea.
And each day is a riddle
in the lives of Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
Hedgehogs and flamingos are used to play croquet
and a cranky blue caterpillar lounges,
always high as day.
A maniacal cat smiles as the moon,
poking fun at the garden flowers as they begin to sing for you.
This day drags on,
beginning to feel numb.
My vision's fading fast
as I slip away, ra

Fading black.
Crying
Fighting
Never turning back.
Where does one go
when, their house is not a home?
What does one do
when, who they were -no one knew?
How does it end
for one whose life is a child's game of pretend?
Friendships built on lies
a false personality.
Bleak, lonely nights
absent of that famous smile.
If they discovered who I was, one day
I wonder what they might say...
Anger

Fury
-blind
Sadness
-pooling
Depression
-mine
To show ones true self,
fallacies aside.
Loved ones from past lives
